How to manage your security settings 

This article explains how to change your Security preferences in the My Data Portal. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the My Data Portal using your Data Deposit Box Backup credentials.
  1. On the dashboard click your user icon icon in the top right.
     
  1. In the drop down opens click Security
  2. On the following screen you can Enable two-step verification, Manage Simple Sign-on and Account security. We will cover each section here for this. 

Two-Step Verification

You have two options for two-step verification SMS or Google Authentication

SMS Verification

To enable SMS Verification enter your your phone number on your account if you do not have one and click resend to receive your code and enter the code and click Verify Code  This will enable SMS Verification

Google Authenticator

Using this option you will scan the qr code or enter the code provided into the google authenticator app on your phone and enter the code provided to verify and enable google verification.

Disable Two-Step Verification

To disable two-step verification you will enter your password as well as the code via google authenticator or sms and click Submit

Simple Sign-on

When you sign into the My Data portal you will have the option to keep yourself logged in. 

In the Security page you can revoke simple-sign on access by clicking the Revoke button. 

Account Security

Here you can enforce two-factor authentication for all users on the account as well as all deletes for all users on the account. Just check which options you want enabled on your account.

NOTE: This option is only available for account administrators.
