How to remove a device
To remove a device you’ll need to uninstall or delete the Data Deposit Box agent from the device you’d like to remove.
To do this on Windows, go to add/remove programs, and uninstall Data Deposit Box.
To do this on Mac, login to your mydataportal from the Mac device you’d like to remove. Then select download now. This will trigger our uninstall wizard for Mac, which will allow you to remove all files associated with Data Deposit Box, so you have a clean uninstall.
For iOS and Android, go to the app store and select uninstall.
For Synology, QNAP and NAS devices, go to the device application page and uninstall Data Deposit Box.
Once you have uninstalled the software on your device, it will take 5 days of inactivity before you’re able to delete the system from your account.
After five days, log into your mydata portal and click the manage button next to uninstalled, inactive device.
Go to device settings and select delete or archive device.
If you select delete device, you’ll need to confirm the deletion.
It will then be removed.
