What do the alert notifications mean?

This article explains what the alert notifications mean in the My Data Portal. 

  1. Log in to the My Data Portal using your Data Deposit Box Backup credentials.
  2. Alerts will show up in the top right by the bell icon
  3. ClickIng the bell icon will reveal the errors you have:
  1. Clicking the alert will take you to the Device List page highlighting the issues. 

Here is a list of possible alerts:

Devices with errors – One of your devices is experiencing backup errors. Review the errors to ensure the backups can resume as normal.

Inactive Devices – A device has not backed up or connected in the allotted time configured for your device and is now considered inactive (Device Settings). Ensure the backup client is running and configured correctly.

Inactive watched items – Files/Folders you selected to be monitored using the Watch List have gone inactive and require attention.

Your setup is not complete – Indicates you have a device that is not configured for backups or you have not installed any backup software. Please review your backup selections or download and install the backup client onto your device.
