If you have an old system that’s no longer backing up, and you want to keep the backups in cloud but make the system inactive, so you no longer receive alerts, you can archive the old system.
You can only archive an inactive system. A system will be deemed inactive, when the system status indicates inactive (done through the status change process covered in a previous video).
To archive an old system, you’ll need to navigate to your device settings.
From your mydata portal dashboard, scroll down the page to your machine list.
Beside the device you’d like to archive, select the Manage button.
A device specific settings window will then pop up on your screen.
At the bottom of the screen, select archive system and confirm.
Once completed, the system status will indicate archived. Users will still be able to access the archived system files via the cloud, but backups will no longer take place.
