Types of partners
Partners sign up via a form on our website, and are then automatically led through a video education and training series. Partners are provided with an account and unique ID and link that allows them to register new accounts and users
Data Deposit Box offers 2 types of partnerships: Commissioned resellers or Wholesale resellers.
Commissioned resellers simply resell the Data Deposit Box offering to customers and earn a monthly commission on storage used in a month, across all registered accounts, users and devices. Commissions are not capped, and are paid to commissioned resellers as long as the account is active; meaning paying for stored data. The commissioned resellers customers are invoiced directly by Data Deposit Box, and once payments are settled, the commissioned reseller is paid by Data Deposit Box. Payments are made between all parties using PayPal for commissions and credit cards for your monthly invoice.
Wholesale resellers purchase a bucket of storage from Data Deposit Box for an agreed upon cost/GB. Pricing is set based on monthly minimum storage commitment of the wholesale reseller, and is priced on a declining sliding scale based on monthly minimum clips of less than 1TB, 1-5TB, and greater than 5TB. The wholesale resellers set an end customer price, and are billed for the cost of the storage only. Wholesale resellers have the option of invoicing customers directly, or invoicing customers through Data Deposit Box.
Again, payments are made between all parties using PayPal for commissions and credit cards for your monthly invoice.
Finally, Wholesale partners also have the option of setting up a service under their own brand – what we call white labelling. For partners who wish to build their own property, we enable full branding of our product – but require a 5TB minimum monthly storage commitment.
